Our love for her and the huge hole left in our lives when she was taken from us at only 8 years old was what spurred us on and to re-evaluate our pets affect on us and our lives & increase our family size.
Little did we know that her influence on us and her loss would shape our future lives the way it has, an adoption, an additional 3 family members & this website in the 4 months since her death…
We are fully aware that Chihuahuas only live for between 14 to 16 years, but to loose her unexpectedly at only 8 years old was a cruel blow, our grief made us realise fully just how precious our pets are, to us they are not just pets, they are a part of our life, a part of our family.
Owning a dog is not just a privilege; it’s a responsibility.
They depend on us for, at minimum, food and shelter, and deserve much more.
When you take a dog into your life, you need to understand the commitment that dog ownership entails.
